25 листопада учні гуртка «Карусель напрямів» Дитячо-юнацького наукового університету НУ «Запорізька політехніка» продовжили навчання з кібербезпеки від Кардіффського університету (Уельс, Велика Британія).

Темою сьогоднішнього заняття була «Криптографія». Учні стали справжніми детективами та із захопленням розкривали зашифровані таємниці, кодували та декодувати секретну інформацію, досліджувати сильні та слабкі сторони шифру Цезаря в сучасній криптографії, дізналися деякі цікаві факти із життя Гая Юлія Цезаря. Також діти мали змогу попрактикуватися у читанні та перекладі розшифрованих повідомлень англійською мовою.

Завдання, які підготувала аспірантка з кібербезпеки факультету комп'ютерних наук та інформатики Кардіффського університету Ірина Берник, сподобались дітям і вони наввипередки вирішували їх.

Серед найбільш активних учнів були Богдан Русяк, Савєлій Яшин, Кирило Воскобойнік, Вячеслав Щербаков, Владислав Худолій, Михайло Шапар, Марія Самченко. Варто зазначити, що під час вирішення завдань Іван Удовцев продемонстрував високий рівень володіння англійською мовою.

Міжнародна співпраця Запорізької політехніки та Кардіффського університету допомагає учням відчути перспективи поєднання ґрунтовних професійних знань і англійської мови.

Detective encryption in the "Carousel of directions"

On November 25, 2023 young students of the "Carousel of Directions" at the Children and Youth Scientific National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” continued their Cybersecurity course from Cardiff University (Wales, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).

The topic of today's class was "Cryptography". The students became real detectives and were delighted to unveil encrypted secrets, encode and decode secret information, explore the strengths and weaknesses of the Caesar cipher in modern cryptography, and learn some interesting facts from the life of Gaius Julius Caesar. Young researchers also had the opportunity to practice reading and translating deciphered messages into English.

The students liked the tasks prepared by Iryna Bernyk, PhD student in Cybersecurity, School of Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University, and they competed solving them with excitement.

Among the most active students, there were Bohdan Rusyak, Saveliy Yashin, Kyrylo Voskoboynik, Vyacheslav Shcherbakov, Vladyslav Khudoliy, Mykhailo Shapar, Maria Samchenko. It is worth mentioning that while solving the problems, Ivan Udovtsev demonstrated a high level of English language proficiency.

The international cooperation of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic and Cardiff University helps students experience the prospects of combining profound professional knowledge and the English language.
