Seminar "Tebis Software - New Design Quality"
On April 22, the Department of Metal Cutting Machine Tools and Tools, with the support of ZP EDIH, AMS International (Poland) and AMS-ZP Lab, held a seminar “Tebis Software — New Design Quality” in a mixed format.
More than 50 people took part, including not only our students and teachers, but also invited guests from leading enterprises and educational institutions of the Zaporizhia region and Ukraine.
The participants were welcomed by Vice-Rector Vadym Shalomeyev. The seminar was conducted by Serhiy Tanchenko, a senior lecturer at the Department of Metal Cutting Machine Tools and Tools, and its head, Mykhailo Frolov.
During the seminar, new functional capabilities of Tebis software, which provides a full production cycle and its automation, were considered:– Reverse Engineering — creation of high-quality CAD models based on scanned data and MESH geometry for further processing– SmartOps technology — intelligent automation of CAD/CAM processes, which allows combining operations and significantly reducing production preparation time– Laser Cutting — construction of multi-coordinate trajectories for laser cutting taking into account the geometry of the part and avoiding collisions– Trimming — effective formation of NC programs for processing sheet materials and complex surfaces
In addition, the participants got acquainted with SuPAR — an augmented reality system for controlling assembly operations and finished products.
Thank you all for participating! Working together — developing together!
2 courses have been completed within the framework of cooperation between Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University and Cardiff University
This partnership was created through the UK-UA Twinning initiative, and from 2023, academics and students at all levels will have the opportunity to improve their communication and critical thinking skills, create academic texts and teach educational components in English.
This semester, the English for Academic Purposes course was held and classes were held in the Conversation Club under the leadership of Kelly Wrigley, a lecturer at Cardiff University.
We are sincerely grateful to Kelly for interesting, useful, rich classes, for the friendly atmosphere for learning and for caring for the participants!
Special thanks to the coordinator of cooperation from Cardiff University, Daniel Cornelius, manager of English language programs, for organizing the work of the courses for three years now, an individual approach to the academic needs of our community and comprehensive support!

A friendly environment, a variety of interesting topics for discussion, and non-stressful, non-boring assignment formats.
The teacher created a very pleasant and friendly environment, so studying was enjoyable and stress-free. The teacher also provided engaging discussion topics and questions related to the main lesson, which increased student interest and active communication. There was no mandatory homework, but there were optional assignments. This is the best approach because it's flexible and allows for comfortable learning, whether you have no time for homework or are willing to put in extra effort
