Information meetings about the work of a child psychologist at the Center for Helping the Rescued of Zaporizhzhia

In July, the Department of Psychology of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University acted as a partner and co-organizer of two Information meetings about the work of a child psychologist at the Center for Helping the Rescued of Zaporizhzhia.  

21 participants participated – parents, specialists working with children,  as well as everyone interested in the topic.

The presenter — Tetyana Borodulkina, child psychologist of the Center for Helping the Rescued Zaporizhzhia, associate professor of the Department of Psychology — told the participants about the peculiarities of the work of a child psychologist.

The following topics were discussed:
– why a child psychologist works not only with the child, but also with parents/guardians
– current parental appeals to a child psychologist in war conditions
– when an offline format of work with the family and child is desirable, and in which cases online work is permissible
– organization of the work of a child psychologist in the Center for Helping the Rescued Zaporizhzhia

The presenter also explained how to sign up for consultation with a child psychologist, and answered the participants’ questions.

The information meetings have already become an impetus for some participants to seek psychological help from the Center for Family and Family Planning, sign up for future psychological events for families, and for specialists, they have become a reference point for their own work with children.
