Department «Software»
The department trains bachelors and masters in educational programs of the specialty F2 Software Engineering, bachelors, masters and doctors of philosophy in educational programs of the specialty F3 Computer Science. The year of foundation of the department is 2002.
Department of Computer Systems and Networks
The department trains bachelors and masters in educational programs of specialty 123 Computer Engineering. Year of foundation of the department - 2002.
Department of Systems Analysis and Computational Mathematics
The department trains bachelors, masters and doctors of philosophy in educational programs of specialty 124 Systems Analysis. Year of foundation of the department - 2002.

History of the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology
The beginning of the era of information technologies in Zaporizhzhia
The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University became a pioneer in the training of IT specialists in the Zaporizhzhia region, starting this business back in 1991. The rapid development of computer technologies at the end of the 20th century led to the creation of new specialties:
– 1991 – «Software for automated systems»
– 1992 – «Computer systems and networks»
– 2000 – «Specialized computer systems»
Establishment of the faculty
In 2002, the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering was established, which in 2013 was renamed the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Technologies. It included three departments:
1. Software
2. Computer Systems and Networks
3. Systems Analysis and Computational Mathematics
Expanding Educational Programs
The faculty is rapidly developing, opening new specialties:
– 2004 – «Information Design Technologies» and «Systems Analysis and Management»
– 2013 – «Software Engineering» and «Artificial Intelligence Systems»
Current status
Today, the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology is:
– 730 full-time and part-time students
– 11 modern computer classes and laboratories
– Constantly updated curricula
– Training of specialists for IT industry, one of the most important in the world economy
