To make a worthy contribution to the development of the Ukrainian state and society, the South-Eastern region of Ukraine through the implementation of the following goals: 1) To form highly educated and nationally conscious specialists in the field of computer engineering, capable of designing, implementing, optimizing and supporting modern technologies of data transmission networks, cyber-physical systems, digital systems, cloud technologies, web services and Internet of Things solutions, focused on the integration of artificial intelligence systems and carrier-class network technologies, taking into account the principles of fault tolerance and reliability and capable of contributing to the development of the Ukrainian state, society and the Zaporizhzhia region, actively participating in the development of the digital environment, taking into account the global goals of sustainable development and the willingness to act in accordance with these goals; 2) Integrate the results of scientific and applied research, as well as innovative activities into the educational program in order to constantly improve the quality of education in accordance with the standards and recommendations for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area, while adhering to the principles of student-centered learning and academic integrity; 3) Provide conditions for comprehensive personal development by activating external academic mobility of higher education students, scientific and pedagogical, scientific and pedagogical staff of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University; increase the motivation and involvement of students in the educational process; implement a personalized approach to learning based on the widespread use of distance educational technologies and services, and form individual educational trajectories.

Teaching and learning are based on the implementation of active methods that ensure a personally oriented approach, the development of critical thinking and professional autonomy of applicants. The educational process is built on the principles of student-centered, problem-oriented and interactive learning with extensive use of web technologies and self-study. The study of disciplines involves lectures, practical and laboratory classes, work in small groups, which forms horizontal connections between applicants, preparation and presentation of educational and research projects, participation in debates and professional discussions. Considerable attention is paid to individual work under the guidance of teachers in preparation for conferences, completion of a course project and master’s qualification work, presentation of the results obtained at conferences. Master’s students are involved in independent research using the university’s resource base (library, computer classes), as well as the potential of partner institutions.

Education quality control involves control measures and analytical work to analyze their results. The applicant’s learning outcomes are assessed using control measures provided for by the educational program and programs of educational components on a 100-point scale or on a two-point scale (passed – not passed). The share of mandatory educational components that provide for a final assessment on a 100-point scale must be at least 70% of the total number of educational components. Control measures include final control, and may also include input, current, intermediate and other forms of control, if they are determined by the programs of educational components. Forms of control measures, criteria, methods and assessment tools must correspond to the learning objectives and expected learning outcomes of each educational component.

The implementation of educational activities within the framework of the implementation of the educational program is ensured by experienced scientific and pedagogical (pedagogical) employees necessary for the implementation of educational components, in accordance with the current Licensing Conditions. Among the 7 NPPs that provide teaching of mandatory OK, 7 NPPs (100%) have a scientific degree and an academic title. 3 NPPs (42%) have certificates of knowledge of the English language in accordance with the Common European Recommendation on Language Education (level B2 and above) and 2 NPPs (29%) have higher education in language training at the master’s level.

The material and technical base of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks meets modern requirements for ensuring the educational process and performing official duties of the department’s employees. All equipment is in working condition, the average age of the computers in operation is 6 years. There are 6 laboratories operating in the educational process, in particular, training laboratories for grid technologies and cloud computing, system integration of computer technologies, digital data transmission systems, computer networks and wireless technologies, and microprocessor system design.

National credit mobility is regulated by the Regulations on the procedure for implementing the right to academic mobility of participants in the educational process of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University https://zp.edu.ua/uploads/pubdocs/2022/ Nakaz_N210_vid_28.06.22.pdf. Higher education applicants have the opportunity to participate in the national credit mobility program: studying at higher education institutions – partners of the NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» within Ukraine – in order to obtain credits of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System and relevant competencies, learning outcomes that will be recognized at the NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic». At the same time, the total period of study for such participants under credit mobility programs remains unchanged.

International credit mobility is regulated by the Procedure for the implementation of the right to academic mobility of participants in the educational process of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University https://zp.edu.ua/uploads/dept_nm/Poloz hennia_pro_akademichnu_mobilnist.pdf, as well as by agreements on international credit mobility of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University (https://zp.edu.ua/akademichnamobilnist). Students have the opportunity to participate in the international credit program Erasmus+KAl, programs of the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD. The university has inter-institutional agreements, according to which students studying in the relevant specialty have the opportunity to exercise their rights to academic mobility in the following universities: Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), Technical University of Ilmenau (Germany), Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain).

The university has the right to train foreign students.
