Computer Science is an educational and scientific program for those who seek not to apply ready-made solutions, but to create new ones: to research algorithms, develop intelligent systems and form a scientific basis for the IT industry. This is the level of a Doctor of Philosophy, after which the graduate is able to independently conduct original research at the interface of computer science and related areas and publish results in leading scientific publications in the world.
The program combines in-depth theoretical training with practical research work. Graduate students master modern methods of inductive learning, intelligent computing and mathematical modeling, learn to formulate and test scientific hypotheses, work with large data sets and bring their own developments from idea to publication. A significant part of the program is devoted to an individual scientific topic, which the applicant develops under the guidance of a scientific supervisor.
Special attention is paid to the pedagogical component: future doctors of philosophy undergo scientific and pedagogical practice, participate in teaching special disciplines and are formed not only as researchers, but also as teachers for the next generation of IT specialists.
Scientific work is conducted in close cooperation with the international academic community – through joint research projects, conferences, internships and publications co-authored with foreign colleagues. This allows applicants to compare themselves with the world level of research and build a scientific career not in isolation, but in constant dialogue with other universities.
