To contribute to the development of the Ukrainian state and society, the South-Eastern region of Ukraine and the Zaporizhzhia region by training competent specialists capable of solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of computer science, through the implementation of the following goals:

• to train specialists who possess conceptual scientific and practical knowledge, critically reflect on the theories and methods of computer science, are capable of forming judgments that take into account social and ethical and legal aspects, and are ready to apply their skills to develop the digital environment of Ukraine and the Zaporizhzhia region;
• to ensure that applicants acquire advanced cognitive and practical skills necessary for software development. Integrate current methods for solving complex computer science problems into teaching, adhering to standards of academic integrity and principles of student-centered learning;
• support the personal and professional development of higher education students by developing their ability to communicate on professional issues (including in a foreign language). Provide the opportunity to build individual educational trajectories that develop the ability to continue their studies with a significant degree of autonomy, using the possibilities of academic mobility and modern distance technologies;
• involve students in managing complex technical or professional activities or projects for the development and use of software in cooperation with enterprises and institutions. Develop the ability to take responsibility for making and adopting decisions in unpredictable contexts, contributing to solving applied problems in computer science for the sustainable development of the state and the Zaporizhzhia region.

General higher education in the field of F Information Technologies in the specialty F3 Computer Science is aimed at solving complex problems in the field of computer science related to modeling, design, development and support of information technologies with a focus on intelligent systems for analyzing and processing data of organizational, technical, natural and socio-economic systems. Acquisition of the ability to solve research and/or innovative problems in the field of computer science.

Student-centered and problem-oriented learning, project work, independent work

Semester exams and tests, defense of a coursework (project), defense of a practice report, public defense of a qualification work. Assessment of academic achievements of higher education applicants is carried out on a 100-point scale or on a two-point scale (passed / not passed). Positive grades for all forms of control are grades from 60 to 100 points on a 100-point scale and a grade of «passed» on a two-point scale. The limit of unsatisfactory learning according to the results of the final control is a grade below 60 points on a 100-point scale or a grade of «not passed» on a two-point scale. Obtaining a grade of 60 points and above implies obtaining positive grades in all mandatory types of current control defined by the educational component curriculum.

Scientific and pedagogical workers who provide the educational process in the specialty have an experience of scientific and pedagogical activity of more than two years and a level of scientific and professional activity that meets the Licensing Conditions for the Conduct of Educational Activities. All teachers who provide the educational components of professional training are qualified in their specialty.

Teachers who provide the educational process in the specialty actively cooperate with leading foreign and Ukrainian universities within the framework of international educational programs, constantly participate in international scientific conferences, seminars and symposiums both in Ukraine and abroad.

During the implementation of the Tempus, Erasmus+ and DAAD projects, teachers who provide the educational process have undergone advanced training and internships at leading foreign and Ukrainian universities, published joint scientific and educational and methodological materials together with foreign colleagues.

The university meets the technological requirements of the Licensing Conditions for Educational Activities. The general infrastructure of the university includes educational buildings with specialized and subject classrooms, cafeterias, a fitness center, and dormitories.

To implement the educational program, the Department of Software has two lecture halls and seven computer laboratories and classes equipped with modern computing equipment and peripheral devices and equipment.

The classrooms, laboratories, and classes are fully equipped with multimedia equipment and air conditioning. All computer equipment is connected to the Internet, and wireless access to this network is also provided. For general education subjects, lecture halls and laboratories of the relevant general education departments, which have the necessary equipment, are used.

Requirements for the qualification work

The qualification work must involve solving a complex problem of a research and/or innovative nature in the field of computer science. The qualification work must not contain academic plagiarism, falsification, fabrication. The qualification work must be posted on the website or in a public repository of the higher education institution or its structural unit. The publication of qualification works containing information with restricted access should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the law.
