The vision of the faculty is to strengthen the European focus in the formation of the value and professional profile of graduates.
The faculty promotes the development of the intellectual and cultural potential of higher education students, the acquisition of general and professional competences, social and civic responsibility, national consciousness, the formation of intercultural communication, the multiplication and preservation of cultural traditions and «historical memory».

History of the Humanities Faculty
The creation in 2002 of the Faculty of Humanities as part of the oldest and largest higher education institution in the Zaporizhzhia region testified to taking into account the processes taking place in the modern world. In the conditions of the creation of an independent state, Ukraine became an independent subject of international relations, which made it necessary to train specialists who could properly ensure the national, including economic, interests of the state in the international arena. On the other hand, since the first years of activity, the university has always had a strong humanitarian component, which was manifested both in the educational process and in extracurricular educational work with students. It was laid by D.M. Podderyogin, the director of the Oleksandriv Mechanical and Technical School in 1900–1920. It is also worth mentioning the famous historian and local historian J.P. Novytskyi, under whose leadership the students of the school excavated barrows, gathered collections of antiquities, recorded the stories of local residents about the names of rocks and caves on the banks of the Dnieper, Fr. Khortytsy, associated with the Cossack period of the history of Ukraine. These traditions were further supported and multiplied, enriched.
Dean of the faculty from the moment of its establishment was assigned to the professor of science. Sciences, associate professor Dyedkov Mykola Vasyliovych. On October 2, 2002, the general meeting of teachers and employees of the newly created faculty and the founding trade union conference of students took place. These events became the reference point for the activity of the new structural unit of ZNTU. The dean’s office of the faculty consists of four people: the dean – associate professor M.V. Dyedkov, his deputy – senior teacher Mozulenko D.I. and two methodologists – Udod I.V. and Yurkevich O.I.
