About us
The Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business is a structural unit of the Faculty of Humanities of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. The department was established in 2007 with the aim of providing high-quality training of specialists for the tourism, hotel and restaurant industries who meet the modern requirements of the labor market and the standards of international education.
Today, the department is an educational and scientific center that combines fundamental academic knowledge with practical training of students. The educational process is provided by highly qualified teachers - doctors and candidates of sciences, associate professors and professors, who have significant experience in scientific, methodological and practical activities.
The main areas of work of the department:
training of bachelors and masters in specialties in the field of tourism, hotel and restaurant business;
development and implementation of modern educational programs that are focused on combining theoretical knowledge and practical skills;
conducting scientific research on current problems of the hospitality industry, cultural tourism and service technologies;
cooperation with leading enterprises and organizations to organize internships and student internships;
development of international relations in the field of education and science, participation in international projects and academic mobility programs.
Graduates of the department successfully work in travel agencies and companies, hotels and restaurants, consulting firms, as well as in the field of management and leisure organization both in Ukraine and abroad.
The department pays special attention to the formation of professional and personal competencies of future specialists, the development of their leadership potential, the ability to think creatively and work effectively in a globalized market.
