About us
The Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business is a structural division of the Faculty of Humanities of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University. The department was established in 2007 with the aim of providing high-quality training of specialists for the tourism, hotel and restaurant industries who meet the modern requirements of the labor market and international education standards.
Today, the department is an educational and scientific center that combines fundamental academic knowledge with practical training of students. The educational process is provided by highly qualified teachers - doctors and candidates of sciences, associate professors and professors who have significant experience in scientific, methodical and practical activities.
The main directions of the department's work:
training of bachelors and masters in the field of tourism, hotel and restaurant business;
development and implementation of modern educational programs that are focused on the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills;
conducting scientific research on current problems of the hospitality industry, cultural tourism and service technologies;
cooperation with leading enterprises and organizations for the organization of students' practice and internships;
development of international relations in the field of education and science, participation in international projects and programs of academic mobility.
Graduates of the department successfully work in travel agencies and companies, hotels and restaurants, consulting firms, as well as in the field of leisure management and organization both in Ukraine and abroad.
The department pays special attention to the formation of professional and personal competencies of future specialists, development of their leadership potential, ability to creative thinking and effective work in the conditions of the globalized market.
