The department trains bachelor's and master's students according to the educational programs of specialty 123 Computer engineering. The department was founded in 2002.
Department «System Analysis and Computational Mathematics»
The department trains bachelors, masters and doctors of philosophy according to the educational programs of the specialty 124 System analysis. The department was founded in 2002.

History of the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Technologies
The beginning of the era of information technologies in Zaporizhzhia
National University «Zaporizhia Polytechnic» became a pioneer in the training of IT specialists in the Zaporizhia region, starting this business back in 1991. The rapid development of computer technologies at the end of the 20th century led to the creation of new specialties:
– 1991 – «Software for automated systems»
– 1992 – «Computer systems and networks»
– 2000 – «Specialized computer systems»
Establishment of the faculty
In 2002, the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering was established, which in 2013 was renamed the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Technologies. It includes three departments:
1. Software tools
2. Computer systems and networks
3. System analysis and computational mathematics
Expansion of educational programs
The faculty is developing rapidly, opening new specialties:
– 2004 – «Information Design Technologies» and «System Analysis and Management»
– 2013 – «Software Engineering» and «Artificial Intelligence Systems»
Current state
Today, the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Technologies is:
– 730 full-time and part-time students
– 11 modern computer classes and laboratories
– Constantly updated curricula
– Training of specialists for the IT industry, one of the most important in the world economy
