Institutional dialogue between the university and the educational community: human capital as a strategic resource for the development and preservation of the region in today’s conditions

On May 5, the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University hosted an open event “Institutional Dialogue of the University and the Educational Community: Human Capital as a Strategic Resource for the Development and Preservation of the Region in Today’s Conditions”. The event brought together representatives of education, trade unions, and the academic community around the key issue: how to preserve and develop the potential of youth, on whom the future of the region depends.

The goal of the meeting was to create an effective platform for cooperation between the university, educators, and trade union organizations. The focus is on joining forces for the successful conduct of the 2026 admission campaign, raising awareness among students and parents about educational opportunities in the region, establishing sustainable school-university interaction, and expanding the professional opportunities of teachers.

The event was opened by the rector of the university, Viktor Greshta, who emphasized that today it is especially important not only to preserve youth in the region, but also to create real conditions for them to study, develop, and achieve professional self-realization. The head of the regional trade union organization, Nadiya Gryn, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of partnership in supporting the younger generation and shaping its conscious choice.

The participants were presented with modern educational programs that are used in university training, and the prospects that open up to students were outlined. It was about the possibilities of international mobility, dual form of education, individual educational trajectory, as well as a combination of different formats of study. Special attention was paid to the admission rules for 2026 and practical aspects of preparation for admission.

The format of open dialogue made it possible to discuss current issues, exchange experiences and develop joint solutions. The participants of the event visited the Experimental Center of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Quantum – a modern innovative space, a place where learning turns into an exciting journey into the world of engineering and technology.

Special emphasis was placed on the role of trade union organizations as reliable partners in disseminating important information and supporting young people at the stage of professional choice. Such interaction strengthens the educational environment, promotes the development of human capital, and opens up new prospects for the region.
