Financial games that teach: the experience of Global Money Week 2026

On March 8, as part of the Global Money Week 2026, students of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University took part in an educational event on financial literacy.

Global Money Week is an annual international educational campaign aimed at developing the financial awareness of children and youth, forming the knowledge, skills, behavior and attitude towards money necessary for making smart and thoughtful financial decisions, which will allow achieving financial well-being and stability.

The class was conducted by Iryna Maksymenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting and Finance.

The participants took part in interactive tasks and educational games aimed at developing basic financial skills and a responsible attitude towards money.

The program featured the following activities: the game “Financial Pixie”, the exercise “Check from the store” and the investigation “Financial Detective”. During the performance, participants analyzed purchases, learned to make informed financial decisions and developed financial thinking.
