Guest online lecture on resilience

On May 22, the Department of Psychology held a guest online lecture on the topic “Resilience as a Biopsychosocial Phenomenon”.

Guest speaker Margarita Starchenko — psychologist, graduate and stakeholder of the Department of Psychology — thoroughly described the concept of resilience as a complex biopsychosocial phenomenon and the subject of scientific research; commented on how psychological interventions can influence biological, social and psychological factors of resilience,  and also shared the results of her own research on various aspects of resilience, answered questions from the lecture participants.

The guest lecture took place as part of the study of the 1st year undergraduate psychology students of the academic discipline “Psychological Assistance in Emergency Situations”. The lecture was attended by about 35 participants, including students of the specialty “Psychology” and interested representatives of other specialties of our university.
