Congratulations to the winners of the regional student science project competition!

On December 25, a solemn award ceremony was held for the winners of the regional student competition “Science for the Reconstruction of the Zaporizhia Region in War and Post-War Times.” The Deputy Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Lyudmila Bukharina and the Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Olena Kazannikova delivered welcoming remarks.

The competition featured 29 scientific projects by students of higher education institutions in the Zaporizhzhia region in four areas: “Digitalization and Information Technologies”, “Biotechnologies and Healthcare”, “New Materials and Technologies”, and “Social Sciences and Humanities”.

The projects that received the highest scores based on the results of the preliminary evaluation were admitted to the defense, in particular two projects by students of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University. As a result of the successful defense, the authors of both of our projects took prizes:
2nd place — “Effectiveness of using kinesiomassage in the postoperative rehabilitation system for tourniquet-induced compartment syndrome of the lower extremities” — authors Olga Mazurkova and Viktoriya Pakulo (UFKS–213_2), scientific supervisor – senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Oksana Stolbynska
3rd place — “Inventory system for green spaces of the city of Zaporizhzhia” — author Valeria Neroznak (KNT–114sp), scientific supervisor — assistant of the Department of Software Oleksandr Korotky

The regional competition commission included Professor of the Department of Economics and Customs Andriy Karpenko, Head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Olha Kovaleva, Head of the Department of Software Serhiy Subotin, Acting Head of the Department of Composite Materials, Chemistry and Technologies Ivan Akimov.

The winners were awarded diplomas and regional prizes, and the scientific supervisors were thanked.
