Annual Student Government Conference

On February 19, the annual conference of the student government of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University was held.

The head of the student government, Sofia Stepanenko, presented a detailed report on the work done, outlined the main achievements, implemented projects and key areas of the team’s activity over the past year.

Rector Viktor Greshta, First Vice-Rector Serhiy Shylo, Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko and Acting Svitlana Sadikova, the head of the student, graduate and doctoral student trade union, joined the meeting and congratulated the self-government team on their successes over the year.

Candidate for the position of head of the student government, Anastasia Steshenko, spoke to the Polytechnic students and presented her action plan. Main aspects: development of the university’s social networks, involvement of students in grant projects and creation of new opportunities for active student life.

During the conference, the following issues were considered:
– nomination and approval of students to the temporary election commission of the university for organizing and conducting direct secret elections
– nomination and approval of candidates to the executive body of the student government, the control and audit commission and the Academic Council of the university

According to the results of the secret ballot held on February 20, Anastasia Steshenko was elected as the head of the student government.
