From wheel to engine
On September 20, the first class of this school year’s “Carousel of Directions” circle of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University on the topic “From a wheel to an engine” was held for students of grades 6-7!
During the journey through the world of modern technology, the students took part in various activities:
– a demonstration of gasoline and diesel engines – how the «heart» of the car is arranged
– an overview of the models of the power plant, transmission and chassis – what makes the car move
– an analysis of various units, nodes and systems of a modern car – what is usually hidden under the hood – all this was carefully studied by young researchers
– Acquaintance with a real car “Tavria” with right-hand drive – a curiosity that you will rarely see on the roads of Ukraine
Students were accompanied by our experts – associate professor of the department of automobiles, heat engines and hybrid power plants Vadym Kubich and head of the laboratory Anatoliy Avramenko.
