Polytechnic student wins silver at IBK World Cup 2026 in Kyokushin Karate
The IBK World Cup 2026 in Kyokushin Karate took place on September 19 at the Ludovika Arena in Budapest (Hungary).
A student of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Maksym Sap’yanyi (UFKS-416sp) performed as part of the Ukrainian national team.
In the men’s weight category up to 65 kg, Maksym successfully completed four rounds of the competition and reached the final, where, according to the results of the judges’ decision, he took 2nd place!
Congratulations to Maksym on his silver medal at the World Cup and significant international results! We are proud of our student, who is worthily representing Ukraine and Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University on the international sports arena! We wish him new victories and further sporting successes!
