Cooperation between business and science: from engineering tasks to training future specialists

Representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, led by Rector Viktor Greshta, held a meeting with the management of LLC «Athlon Avia». They discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of scientific research, innovative developments and training of specialists.

One of the key results of the meeting was an agreement on the possibility of joint participation in the competition for applied research and development commissioned by businesses, announced by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Combining the scientific potential of the university and the practical experience of the company opens up new opportunities for creating solutions that meet the real needs of business. Joint participation in the competition will allow you to form research proposals aimed at solving current technological problems and bring scientific results closer to their practical implementation.

Among the promising areas of cooperation are electromechanical systems, automation, electronics, materials research, artificial intelligence, and geodetic technologies. Each of these areas has the potential to develop new technologies, improve existing solutions, and create products in demand in industry and other sectors.

The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the development of research infrastructure and human capital.

Possible directions include the creation of new laboratories with the support of the company, training and advanced training of materials science specialists, development of certificate educational programs, real practical training of students and employment at the enterprise.

Special attention was paid to cooperation with the Children’s and Youth Scientific University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic». Implementation of STEM education, popularization of engineering and technical areas among schoolchildren, familiarization with the activities of the enterprise and involvement of young people in practical classes and research projects.
