Representatives of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University participated in the working meeting of the SEDWU project consortium in Kaunas
On June 15–17, 2026, representatives of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University took part in a working meeting of the consortium of the international project “Electronic Document Workflow for Universities: Enhancing Efficiency, Autonomy and European Integration” (SEDWU), which was held at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Our university was represented by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and University Development Prospects Ruslan Kulikovsky and the Head of the Academic Department Vitaly Shyrokobokov.
A meeting was held with the leadership of Vytautas Magnus University, separately with the rector, professor Ineta Dabasinskiene and the vice-rector, professor Astrida Miceikiene. The role of international university cooperation in supporting Ukrainian higher education institutions, the prospects for developing partnerships, and the possibilities for further interaction in educational, scientific, and project activities were discussed. Special attention was paid to the issues of European integration of Ukrainian universities, digital transformation of management processes and exchange of practical experience between project partners.
The SEDWU project is aimed at developing modern approaches to electronic document management in universities, increasing the efficiency of management processes, strengthening institutional autonomy and bringing Ukrainian higher education institutions closer to European digital governance practices.
The participants discussed issues of international cooperation, European integration of Ukrainian universities, opportunities for partnership with Vytautas the Great University, as well as challenges and prospects for digital transformation of higher education institutions.
Special attention was paid to the practical experience of the University Vytautas the Great in the field of digitalization, the functioning of information systems, the organization of electronic management processes and the development of the university’s digital infrastructure. For Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, these issues are especially relevant in view of the systematic work on the implementation of an automated educational process management system, the digitalization of internal procedures, the development of electronic document management and the integration of best European practices in the management of educational activities.
The project partners presented their achievements, discussed the implementation of work packages, issues of planning, budgeting, reporting and further coordination of joint activities.
A separate part of the program was visits to the university’s laboratories and familiarization with examples of the use of modern digital technologies, in particular the integration of artificial intelligence. Such experience is important for understanding the practical possibilities of digital transformation not only in university management, but also in scientific, educational and innovative activities.
Participation in the SEDWU consortium meeting became an important stage for strengthening international cooperation of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, exchange of experience with European partners and further development of digital management solutions at the university.
