Representatives of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University participated in the International Summer Forum at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
From August 25 to 29, Zaporizhia Polytechnic University teachers participated in the International Summer Forum 2025 at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FH Dortmund), Germany.
The event was attended by 140 representatives of 40 universities from 18 different countries. The program event combined intercultural learning, research discussion, seminars on cross-border projects and processes in the international department, trainings for teachers, as well as meetings of teams working on the implementation of international educational projects.
At the solemn opening ceremony of the forum, Zaporizhia Polytechnic was presented by Serhiy Leoshchenko, associate professor of the department of software tools. During the research discussion, he gave a presentation on “Intelligent information processing methods and tools for decision-making in the military and civilian industries”.
Dean of the Faculty of Transport Oleksiy Kuzkin took part in the final meeting of DAAD project participants InduTwin@scale “Strategic partnership according to the twin principle”. The result of the project was the participation of three applicants (Faculty of Computer Science and Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering) in the academic mobility program on the basis of FH Dortmund in the spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. Six students of our university participated in the virtual academic mobility program under the InduTwin@scale Language Team Task program in the fall semester of 2024-2025.
As part of the “Market of Opportunities” event, representatives of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University, Professor of the Department of Software Halyna Tabunshchik, Dean of the Department of Transport Oleksiy Kuzkin, Associate Professors of the Department of Software Anzhelika Parkhomenko, Tetyana Kolpakova and Serhiy Leoshchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks Iryna Zelenova, and Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technologies of Electronic Devices Natalya Myronova presented educational programs and areas of scientific activity of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic.
The key event was the kick-off meeting of the participants of the new project “Project and Innovation Management for Ukraine” (UA4PIM), financed by the DAAD within the framework of the “German-Ukrainian University Network” program 2025-2029. Together with our university, the Western Ukrainian National University (Ternopil) and the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture will participate in the project. The coordinator of the project is an honorary professor of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University, director of the IDiAL FH Dortmund Institute Karsten Wolff presented the project’s goals, financial planning and budget structure, reviewed the project’s time limits, key stages, roles and responsibilities. The participants of the consortium were greeted by FH Dortmund rector Tamara Appel and Stefan Weiers, vice-rector for academic work, research and international relations.
The International Summer Forum 2025 provided an opportunity to exchange experience in the implementation of international projects, to communicate with representatives of various countries, universities and faculties, as well as to determine new directions for the international development of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic.
