A magical end to the Night of Science at Zaporizhia Polytechnic University!

On September 26, the traditional “Night of Science” project, which has been uniting schoolchildren from Zaporizhzhia for 6 years and is ready to research, analyze and change, was solemnly completed.

Vice-rector Andriy Ivanchenko and director of the Zaporizhia Regional Center of Polytechnic Education Tetyana Solovyova congratulated the participants and awarded the winners of the Children’s Scientific Conference. More than 70 reports in 7 different sections in Ukrainian, English and even German — all unique and unique, practical and interesting. We are proud of our youth!

Students visited interactive locations and took part in practical master classes: Educational and scientific experiment center “Quantum”, master class “Green energy”, master class “3D printing”, workshop of engineering adventures, master class “Smart house”, as well as master class “Forensic investigations”, during which students, together with representatives of the Zaporizhzhya scientific research expert-forensic center, conducted spectacular chemical experiments.

At the same time, an international conference was held in which foreign partners of the Polytechnic, our teachers, schoolchildren and students who wanted to learn more about European and American scientific traditions participated.

Rector of NU “Zaporizka Polytechnic” Victor Greshta, first vice-rector Serhiy Shilo, head of the Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation Alina Kazurova and deputy head of student self-government Anastasia Steshenko congratulated the participants of the conference.
A separate and particularly touching moment was the greeting of Professor Krystyna Gomulko: in his speech, first vice-rector Serhiy Shilo announced the decision of the Academic Council award her the title of Honorary Professor of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University. This is recognition of her outstanding contribution to the development of Ukrainian-Polish academic cooperation and constant support of Ukraine.

Various topics and current challenges of our time were presented: from the search for new approaches in medicine and ecology to the development of innovative technologies, marketing and education. Violent discussions demonstrated how multifaceted the directions of scientific research are, and how important it is to combine fundamental knowledge with practical solutions for the formation of a safe, progressive and competitive world.
