Sustainable Energy Days
On May 29, the Zaporizhia City Youth Center hosted ceremonial events on the occasion of Sustainable Energy Days. Zaporizhia is a signatory city of the European initiative “Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy”, which unites local governments that have undertaken commitments to implement the climate and energy goals of the European Union.
To fulfill the commitments of the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy and to raise citizens’ awareness in the field of energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources and the interconnection of energy and climate change, the Executive Committee of the Zaporizhia City Council annually holds Sustainable Energy Days in the city of Zaporizhia. This event is a platform for demonstrating the community’s contribution to achieving the European Union’s climate and energy goals.
One of the key events of this year’s Sustainable Energy Days is the “Energy Manager for 1 Day” competition, held as part of the city event “EnergoDiya: Student = City Energy Manager”.
