All-Ukrainian Forum “Educational Leadership Days”: Youth Section

On June 11, the second day of the All-Ukrainian Forum “Days of Educational Leadership” took place. This day was dedicated to youth leadership.

The speakers shared their experience of transitioning student activism from purely university activities to higher levels – local, regional, all-Ukrainian.

The speeches were united by the theme “Education of Responsible People: Youth Policy, Interaction, Leadership”:
Chairwoman of the Student Government of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Sofia Stepanenko presented the theme “The Role of Students in the Formation of Civil Society: From Volunteering to Management”
Member of the Board for Legal Affairs and Office Management of EDYN Ukraine Karolina Shmalko outlined the opportunities for international training and internships for youth leaders, which are offered, in particular, by EDYN
Daniel Makhmudov, Acting Chairmen of the Student Parliament of the Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after G. S. Skovoroda
Elizaveta Burlaka, Head of the PR sector of the Student Parliament of the Kherson National Technical University, inspired with her story about the path of KhNTU students through the challenges of today
Chairman of the Student Council of the NTU “Dnipro Polytechnic” Bohdan Manin revealed the secrets of involving students in the development of student self-government bodies
President of the Student Parliament of the National University “Poltava Polytechnic named after Yuriy Kondratyuk” Valeriy Levchenko shared the experience of Poltava Polytechnic in revealing the potential of students as leaders.

The final block of the forum was the panel discussion “Balance between education, career and activism: challenges and opportunities”. Participants were looking for answers on how to maintain a balance between studying, building a career and activism. We discussed how not to lose ourselves in the frantic rhythm, remain effective and continue to act!

On the first day of the forum, youth leaders visited the Zaporizhia Polytechnic Institute: they saw modern laboratories, innovation and educational hubs. We are always happy to welcome guests to Zaporizhia Polytechnic!

The forum was held with the support of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, the National Qualifications Agency, the National Civil Service of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Association of Regional Employer Organizations of Metallurgical Complex Enterprises “Federation of Metallurgists of Ukraine” and the NGO “Progressilny”.
