A student of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University is one of the U21 world basketball champions among athletes with hearing impairments!
The Ukrainian men’s team became the U21 world champion in basketball among athletes with hearing impairments!
As part of the Ukrainian men’s team, the gold medals of the world championship were won by a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Management, Mykyta Kurchyk (UFKS–214).
The Ukrainian team confidently completed the tournament, winning in the group stage, quarterfinals, and semifinals. In the final match, the Ukrainians were faced by the US team, one of the greats of world basketball. The first half of the match was in favor of the American team, but the Ukrainian basketball players did not give up and demonstrated a true champion’s will to win:
