Participation of representatives of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University in the 20th International Personnel Week at the Polytechnic University of Madrid
From June 1 to 5, representatives of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University – First Vice-Rector Serhiy Shylo, Dean of the Faculty of Transport Oleksiy Kuzkin, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department Andriy Parkhomenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Software Tools Anzhelika Parkhomenko, Head of the Department of Student Research Snezhana Vychuzhanina, Acting Head of the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications Serhiy Samoilyk, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Harry Moroz — at the invitation of our long-standing partners from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM) participated in the 20th International Week “Social and Cultural Skills for Staff in UPM Alliances”.
The event was attended by representatives of universities in Spain, Italy, Egypt, France, Switzerland, Congo, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Finland, Germany and many other countries working in within ERASMUS+ and other programs to learn about UPM’s activities, as well as build relationships with partners within the EELISA Alliance (European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science).
The week’s program included meetings with the heads of departments of the Politecnico di Madrid, visits to various Schools, laboratories, participation in workshops, cultural and sports events. The Politecnico di Madrid has a broad structure, consisting of 16 Higher Technical Schools, one Faculty and one Affiliated Center. In particular, the participants of the International Week visited: Higher Technical School of Forestry and Natural Resources Engineers, Higher Technical School of Architecture, Higher Technical School of Construction, Higher Center for Fashion Design, Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineers, Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Systems Engineering and Informatics, Higher Technical School of Agronomic Engineering, Nutrition and Biosystems, as well as the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic was the only Ukrainian university to take part in the 20th International Personnel Week at the Madrid Polytechnic. For this, special thanks to our university’s reliable partner, Honorary Professor of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic David Luengo, who heads the Department of Audiovisual Engineering and Communications of the Higher Technical School of Engineering and Telecommunications Systems (ETSIST). Our cooperation began with the implementation of the joint international educational ERASMUS+ BIOART project “Innovative Multidisciplinary Curriculum in Artificial Implants for Bio-Engineering BSc/MSc Degrees” and continues within the framework of the ERASMUS+KA1 program.
The new ideas, knowledge and practical skills acquired by our representatives will be aimed at further internationalization of Zaporizhia Polytechnic, expansion of partnerships, improvement of the educational process and development of potential!
