A representative of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic attended the launch of the Council of Europe HELP tutoring course "Rights of People with Disabilities"
May 12th Acting Head of the Educational Department Sofia Stepanenko attended the launch of the Council of Europe HELP tutoring course “Rights of People with Disabilities”, which was held in Kyiv.
During the launch, registration for the course was opened, and the following topics were discussed:
– rules for employment and work of people with disabilities
– from policy to practice: the role of civil society in creating a barrier-free space in Ukraine (nothing about us without us)
– barrier-free in the educational space: experience of HEIs
– ethics and communication with people with hearing impairments
– presentation of the Council of Europe HELP platform and the project “HELP (Human Rights Education for Lawyers) for Ukraine, in particular during wartime”
– presentation of the Council of Europe project “Strengthening the Social Dimension in Ukraine”
– introduction to the course “Rights of People with Disabilities with disabilities”
The course was organized by the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service, the Higher School of Public Administration, within the framework of the Council of Europe projects “HELP (Human Rights Education for Lawyers) for Ukraine, including during wartime, Phase II” and “Strengthening the Social Dimension in Ukraine”.
