Meeting of professional development groups of English teachers of Zaporizhzhia within the framework of the SWITLO project
The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is happy to support international projects and cooperate with colleagues in the education system.
A meeting of professional development groups of English teachers of Zaporizhzhia within the framework of the SWITLO project of the British Council in Ukraine was held at the university.
The participants were welcomed by Nadiya Udova, SWITLO project manager (British Council in Ukraine), Nataliia Zhukova, project trainer (British Council in Ukraine), acting head of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation (NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic»), and Iryna Nagornova, consultant of the municipal institution «Center for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers» of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
The work of the teachers was coordinated by SWITLO project facilitators Olena Kalievska, English teacher at Zaporizhzhia Academic Lyceum «Perspektiva», and Yuliia Belyakova, English teacher at the «Svitanok» primary school of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
The SWITLO (Skills and Well-being in Teacher Learning Opportunities) project aims to assist teachers in creating a strong professional community through interaction and reflection, as well as in preparing opportunities for planning a development program taking into account the needs of the community (TAG – Teacher Activity Group).
Active support in the implementation of the project is provided by the municipal institution «Center for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers» of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
