Pilot training of Zaporizhia Polytechnic students under the Erasmus+ KA2 WORK4CE project in Germany
On September 4-8, 2023, the first part of the pilot training for students within the framework of the international educational project Erasmus+ KA2 WORK4CE: Cross-domain competences for healthy and safe work in the 21st century took place at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Germany).
The main objective of the event was the presentation, testing, pilot training of students and evaluation of educational materials developed by consortium participants within the framework of individual project modules dedicated to the application and implementation of digital technologies in various areas of practical activity. To this end, a program was organized during the week based on the developed materials for students representing partner educational institutions from Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
The pilot training took place in a hybrid format – during the first week, 27 students from 6 universities in Ukraine and Azerbaijan were familiarized with the materials necessary to solve a practical task from a business representative. During the second week, students have already mastered e-learning materials using a digital learning platform developed within the project. In addition to the hospitable hosts, the event was attended by scientific and pedagogical staff of educational institutions participating in the project: Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University (Zaporizhia, Ukraine), Western Ukrainian National University (Ternopil, Ukraine), Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (Kyiv, Ukraine), Catholic University of Leuven (Leuven, Belgium), University of the Basque Country (Bilbao, Spain), Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Baku, Azerbaijan), Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry (Baku, Azerbaijan) and Azerbaijan University of Construction and Architecture (Baku, Azerbaijan).
The Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University was represented at the event by a powerful team of teachers who acted as lecturers and mentors: project coordinator Prof. Galina Tabunshchyk, Assoc. Prof. Anzhelika Parkhomenko (training module “Industry 4.0”), Assoc. Prof. Tatyana Kaplienko (training module “Distributed Teams”), Prof. Oleksiy Kuzkin (training module “Management of Digital Transformations”), Prof. Andriy Karpenko (training module “Work 4.0”), Assoc. Prof. Andriy Parkhomenko (training module “Development of digital ecosystems”). Seven students of our university participated in the pilot training, including: four undergraduate and graduate students studying in the educational programs “Economics”, “Transportation Organization and Logistics Management in Road Transport”; three postgraduate students from the departments “Software”, “Economics and Customs”, “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Stock Exchange Activities”.
The pilot training was interesting and useful. The students were presented with lectures based on the developed training materials, during which they were able to deepen their knowledge of digital technologies and the processes of digital transformation of Industry 4.0, and ask questions directly to the developers of the training courses. The practical part of the pilot training involved group work by students on real-life marketing research company cases under the guidance of mentors, development of a digital transformation plan for the company and its presentation. Students were able to assess the quality of the developed training material using an online questionnaire.
A coordination meeting of project participants was also held during the event, at which the progress of the project was analyzed and tasks for the next reporting period were set. An interesting tour of the city of Dortmund was organized for the students.
