Second film screening within the 23rd Docudays UA Traveling International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival
On October 21, the Scientific Library of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University hosted the second film screening as part of the 23rd International Traveling Documentary Film Festival on Human Rights Docudays UA. The event was organized by the Docudays UA Human Rights Media Education Film Club at the Scientific Library of the university, represented by Nataliia Fedko, head of the scientific library sector. The meeting was opened by the university’s vice-rector Andriy Ivanchenko.
The audience watched the documentary film «Normal Life» (2026) by director Mykola Nosk, which became an occasion for conversation about human destinies, the trials of war, and mutual support.
The meeting was moderated by Larysa Holovko, a psychologist and regional representative of the Docudays UA Traveling Festival in Zaporizhzhia. She managed to create an atmosphere of trust and openness in which the audience could share their impressions, talk about difficult things, and listen carefully to each other.
The film evoked strong emotions and prompted reflection on the fates of people, especially children who were forced to leave temporarily occupied territories and now need safety, care, and support more than ever. The participants noted that the film is not easy to perceive, but the discussion helps to comprehend what they saw, share experiences, and feel that you are not alone.
Documentary films about human rights have significance far beyond the cinema. For Ukrainian viewers, they help to better understand the experiences of people whose lives have been changed by the war, and for the international community, they help to see its human dimension and hear the stories of Ukrainians.
Docudays UA film screenings help us to more deeply understand the reality we live in, see the human dimension of war, and reflect on how to maintain humanity and support each other in the most difficult times.
The Scientific Library of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University continues the activities of the Docudays UA Human Rights Media Education Film Club, creating a space for conversations about human rights, society, and the challenges of modernity.
