Mobile laboratory under the Erasmus+ WORK4CE project
Within the framework of the implementation of the international project “Interdisciplinary competences for healthy and safe work in the 21st century” (WORK4CE, Project number: 619034-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union by the department of software tools (head of the department – Serhiy Subbotin, coordinator) at Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University of the project – Halyna Tabunshchik) the creation of a mobile computer laboratory for joint work (Digital co-production laboratory) is being implemented.
The Work4CE project is aimed at solving the need for educational resources to prepare students for the future workplace (Work 4.0). It envisages the development of interdisciplinary curricula and modules, as well as the introduction of new forms of (virtual) cooperation between universities and enterprises to improve the practical value of curricula and employability of graduates. By implementing a collaborative approach of educators, industry experts and members of professional associations, new work-related competencies will be developed for the workplace of the future (Work 4.0). This approach will bridge the gap between academia and industry in partner countries and provide graduates with the competencies to cope with the transformation of the working environment, assess where they are and where they want to go (analysis, strategy) to transform into a sustainable working environment.
The creation of a mobile computer laboratory for joint work will provide the participants of the educational process of the software department convenient access to advanced information technologies and tools in a convenient and attractive format for them. In particular, the laboratory will make it possible to flexibly plan and conduct practical and laboratory classes for students both in computer classrooms and laboratories, and in lecture halls and halls. Such a laboratory can be used not only in the premises of the university, but also at external locations (conferences, exhibitions, seminars, Olympiads, hackathons, etc.). The laboratory will become an important instrumental component for the implementation of the WORK4CE project at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic, will allow students to acquire and develop practical skills important for successful employment, will improve the material and technical support of the educational process, and will make the work of the department’s teachers more effective. It will also enable teachers to conduct classes in new interactive formats that were previously unavailable or limited by a lack of equipment.
