Memorandum of Cooperation with the Kharkiv IT Cluster
The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University as a regional leader in the IT industry in the Zaporizhzhia region and the NGO «Kharkiv IT Cluster», which includes more than 320 leading international, national and regional IT companies, have established a partnership to promote the development of IT in Ukraine and train highly qualified personnel for the IT industry.
On February 29, a webinar presentation of the Kharkiv IT Cluster was held at the Department of Software of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University:

At the event The participants were: Rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta, representative of the Kharkiv IT Cluster Mariia Rudynska, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology Mykola Kasyan, Head of the Department of Software Serhiy Subbotin, teachers of the Departments of Software and Systems Analysis and Computational Mathematics, representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Electrotechnical Vocational College of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University (Director Oleksandr Nazarov, Head of the Subject Cycle Commission for Software Development Oleksandr Korotkyi), as well as representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Vocational College of Computer Technologies (Head of the Cycle Commission Olena Slobodyanyk and Lecturer Yuliya Borovyk).
The webinar presented a wide range of project proposals from the Kharkiv IT Cluster for teachers and students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University and colleges of the university:
- GUEST EDU — guest lectures in universities
- BOOT CAMP — teamwork on various social projects with professional mentoring from IT companies
- OPEN IT — regular workshops from IT companies (introduction to the specialty)
- JUNIOR CLUB — a unique closed IT club for interested youth, the purpose of which is to hold regular workshops to improve Soft Skills from IT companies
- SKILL MATRIX — formation of universal models of IT specialists in accordance with modern industry requirements
- HARD SKILLS EXAM — independent certification testing of graduates of IT schools and IT courses, which aims to improve the quality of IT courses and their compliance with the requirements of the market and IT business
- Student internships — places for internships for university and college students with the possibility of further employment (at the request of the company)
- STUDLEADCOMMUNITY — establishing cooperation with student self-government bodies
- PROF2IT — training courses for advanced training of teachers from IT companies
- PROFCLUB — professional teachers’ club for the exchange, updating and implementation of new knowledge and teaching methods
- TECH EDU UP — review of educational programs to improve the quality of education in IT specialties
- ITSCV — updating data on courses taught at universities in accordance with the requirements of the IT industry
- Support for Olympiads — support and popularization of specialized competitions and Olympiads among schoolchildren and students
- GLOBAL EDU — implementation of all educational projects throughout Ukraine
The parties expressed interest in further cooperation and, following the results of the meeting, agreed to sign a memorandum of partnership and cooperation.
The signing of the memorandum of partnership and cooperation between Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University and the Kharkiv IT Cluster took place in a remote format on March 6. The signing provides the IT community of students and teachers of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University with the opportunity to participate in numerous events of the Kharkiv IT Cluster free of charge, as well as, with its help, resolve issues of development and improvement of educational programs in the IT sphere.
