March 29 is the anniversary of the «Twinning» initiative
For two years now, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University has been participating in an initiative from the British higher education consulting company «Cormack Consultancy Group» and Universities UK International. This initiative is designed to create opportunities and strengthen Ukrainian education despite the challenges of war and aims to establish cooperation between universities in Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States and create long-term strategic alliances between universities.
This helped Ukrainian universities stabilize after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Our Twinning partner was Cardiff University, with which a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in 2022. As a result of this cooperation, a grant for research and innovation was received from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University and Cardiff University, within the framework of which teachers and students of the University had the opportunity to undergo internships and intensive English language courses «English Medium Instruction for Academics» at Cardiff University, three Matlab software licenses were purchased to support the educational process and scientific research, various language courses were launched, and more. And this is just the beginning, we are confident in our fruitful, interesting and long-term cooperation.
