On September 16, a new psycho-educational project of the University Community «How are you?» was launched. — «Mental Health Training School».

The event was solemnly opened by the head of the Coordination Center for Mental Health under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Oksana Zbitneva, presenting a series of webinars of the «Training School of Mental Health» within the framework of the «How are you?» University Community. Alyona Sadykina officially launched the project, inspiring participants to actively participate in the webinars.

? The first webinar of the series — «Building Resilience Skills in Wartime» — was conducted by Alyona Sadikina, a candidate of pedagogical sciences, a teacher at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic and an experienced trainer of the Israel Coalition’s trauma programs, sharing effective techniques for maintaining calm and confidence in the most stressful moments.

During the webinar, teachers of the departments of psychology, social work, public health, sociology and pedagogy, as well as specialists of psychological services, students and participants from various institutions of higher education in Ukraine learned effective tools for regulating stress, reducing anxiety and supporting themselves and their loved ones in crisis conditions.

?«Training School of Mental Health» is a space for mutual exchange of experience and best practices for supporting psychological stability in universities. The school’s professional coaching staff includes teachers and specialists from the psychological services of participating higher education institutions, as well as leading experts in the field of mental health.

The project is implemented within the All-Ukrainian mental health program «How are you?» — initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska with expert support of the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Всеукраїнський форум з міжнародною участю «Сенс як ресурс у воєнний час: логотерапевтичний погляд» відбувся 9 вересня на базі партнерів нашого університету — Університеті Короля Данила (Івано-Франківськ) з паралельною трансляцією онлайн на платформі ZOOM. Організатори заходу — Заклад вищої освіти «Університет Короля Данила», Національний університет «Zaporizhzhia політехніка», Криворізький державний педагогічний університет, Національний університет «Одеська юридична академія», Полтавський національний педагогічний університет імені В. Г. Короленка, ГО «Національна асоціація логотерапевтів України», динамічний простір логотерапії MeaningsLab.

Метою форуму було узагальнення сучасних напрацювань із логотерапії та їхня адаптація до воєнного й післявоєнного контексту України, поширення практичних інструментів підтримки життєвого сенсу та психічної стійкості українців у воєнних і післявоєнних реаліях, створення середовища для фахової взаємодії, а також забезпечення ефективного обміну досвідом між науковцями, студентами й фахівцями-практиками.

Основні напрями роботи форуму:

• логотерапія та екзистенційний аналіз Віктора Франкла: сучасне переосмислення
• пошук сенсу як ресурс психічного здоров’я та життєстійкості у воєнних реаліях
• практичне застосування логотерапії при втратах, бойовій травмі та ПТСР (військові, ВПО, цивільні)
• логотерапевтичні освітні ініціативи й громадські проєкти: підтримка дітей, молоді та місцевих спільнот під час війни
• логотерапевтичні методи профілактики вигорання і підтримки фахівців допоміжних професій

Програма форуму передбачала пленарне засідання, роботу двох секцій, а також лінійки воркшопів і практикумів. Учасниками заходу стали іноземні та українські логотерапевти, психологи, професори, доктори психологічних наук.

Міжнародними спікерами заходу були запрошені логотерапевти Тімо Пурйо (PhD, дипломований спеціаліст із логотерапії, акредитований член Міжнародної асоціації логотерапії та екзистенційного аналізу, засновник і голова Інституту Віктора Франкла у Фінляндії, логотерапевт приватної практики та міжнародний тренер із логотерапії (Фінляндія)) та  Ведрана Ґрґич (акредитована логотерапевтка, асистентка професора Тімо Пурйо, Хорватія).

З українського боку спікерами заходу були як фахівці-практики, психологи та психотерапевти, логотерпапевти та логоконсультанти (Наталія Хмельова, Наталія Чабанюк, Антоніна Козак, Оксана Руда, Рімма Мирна, Олена Ронжес, Катерина Гайова, Євгенія Івлієва, Ольга Атаманюк, Ірина Подавільнікова, Марта Гринько, Тетяна Криль, Наталія Чорна та інші), так і науковці-практики, які розвивають ідеї логотерапії в Україні: Світлана Яланська (докторка психологічних наук, професорка, деканка факультету психології і соціальної роботи, професор кафедри кризової психології Полтавського національного педагогічного університету імені В. Г. Короленка); Олена Халік (кандидатка психологічних наук, в. о. завідувача кафедри психології ЗВО «Університет Короля Данила», доцентка кафедри загальної та вікової психології КДПУ); Ольга Літвінова (кандидатка психологічних наук, доцентка, завідувачка кафедри психології, педагогіки та філософії Кременчуцького національного університету імені Михайла Остроградського), Олександра Питлюк-Смеречинська (кандидатка психологічних наук, доцентка кафедри психології ЗВО «Університет Короля Данила»); Ольга Самара (кандидатка психологічних наук, доцентка кафедри психології Національного університету «Одеська юридична академія») та інші.

Кафедра психології НУ «Zaporizhzhia політехніка» була одним зі співорганізаторів й активних учасників форуму. Так, модераторкою заходу була професорка нашої кафедри психології, докторка психологічних наук Наталія Савелюк, яка також виступила з доповіддю на пленарному засіданні на тему: «Психологічне благополуччя як персональний сенс: динаміка переживання українством упродовж воєнного стану». Ірина Бурлакова (професорка, докторка психологічних наук, професорка кафедри психології) представила на пленарному засіданні доповідь на тему: «Екзистенційна тривога як точка опори у воєнний час».  Маргарита Старченко (магістрантка другого року навчання, група СНз–114м) представила доповідь на тему: «Звернення до цінностей і сенсу як шлях до резилієнтності». Тетяна Бородулькіна (доцентка, кандидатка психологічних наук, доцентка кафедри психології) для учасників форуму провела практикум на тему «Кроки від психічного до духовного в будь-якій життєвій ситуації (практикум на основі модифікації вправи із самодистанціювання Тімо Пурйо)».

Захід став майданчиком для систематизації та адаптації логотерапевтичних ідей  та практик під українські реалії, охопив понад 150 учасників у змішаному форматі. Серед учасників форуму були представники кафедри спеціальної освіти та кафедри філософії нашого університету. Від нашої кафедри психології активно долучилися до роботи форуму здобувачі бакалаврату і магістратури всіх курсів, денної та заочної форм навчання, випускники кафедри минулих років.

Багато говорили про сенси, про розробку діагностичного матеріалу, про досвід  використання інструментів логотерапії у роботі з цивільними та військовими, брали участь у майстер-класах і практикумах!

За результатами заходу буде сформований електронний збірник тез учасників.

For the second time, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University has participated in Europe’s largest exhibition-conference on the internationalization of higher education, EAIE Conference & Exhibition. This year, on September 9–12, the exhibition will be hosted by Gothenburg, Sweden.

Our university is represented at the forum by Alina Kazurova, head of the Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation.

EAIE–2025 brought together over 7,000 participants from 100 countries around the world. Over the course of 4 days, hundreds of sessions, workshops and meetings will take place here, and the exhibition area will feature hundreds of stands from leading universities and organizations. This year’s theme of the conference is «GO-create», symbolizing new opportunities for joint projects and innovations.

During the grand opening, welcoming remarks were made by EAIE Executive Director Mervin Bakker and Association President Sara Lopez Selga, who separately emphasized the presence of Ukraine with a joint Ukrainian Higher Education stand and mentioned the difficult times our country is going through, as well as the Mayor of Gothenburg Aslan Akbas, President of the Regional Council Renee Bengtsson, and County Governor Sten Tolgfors.

An important aspect for Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic was an interesting and fruitful meeting with representatives of Mid Sweden University (our new partner) – Cathrine Gladh and Mariia Fredlund from the Department of International Relations. They discussed the prospects for cooperation in the areas of academic mobility, summer schools, double degree programs and scientific research.

The meeting with our long-time partners, representatives of University College Thomas More, was particularly warm. Inge Vervoort, Head of the International Department, and Jurgen Basstanie, Coordinator of International Relations and Lecturer in English and Communications, conveyed words of support to Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult times. They highly appreciated the activities of Halyna Tabunshchyk, Professor of the Department of Software, who initiated this cooperation, and noted the successes of our students who participated in academic mobility programs.

At the same time, many meetings and conversations took place with representatives of universities, educational alliances, and international organizations, opening up new horizons for cooperation.

On September 9, representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University visited the Kushugum settlement community.

The delegation, headed by Rector Viktor Greshta, consisted of First Vice-Rector Serhiy Shyl, Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko, Director of the Educational and Scientific Center «Zaporizhzhia Regional Center of Polytechnic Education» Tetyana Solovyova, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Tetyana Khitrova, and Head of the Project Activities Department Mariia Pavlenko.

The team visited the Kushugum school «Intellect», where the university delegation emphasized the high-quality organization of the educational process in the underground community institution.

During a trip to Lovers’ Park, representatives of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic noted the process of the Kushugum community’s transition to green energy, and also inspected sports locations.

The visit ended with a tour of the hospital’s safe space. A space for the elderly, a crisis room, and a Greco-Roman wrestling club, the «MolodHUB» – all located in one place so that community residents can spend their leisure time in a comfortable and protected environment.

During a visit to the underground school «Prestige», rector Viktor Greshta signed a memorandum of cooperation with the head of the village council of Kushugumskaya, Volodymyr Sosunovsky.

The activities of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University and the Kushugum community are aimed at implementing joint projects in the field of education, which are aimed at the development of the Zaporizhzhia region.

The partnership will allow developing scientific and technical activities, improving the quality of educational services at various levels, establishing coordination and implementation of various youth initiatives, and improving the network of dual education and international partnerships in the region.

Our cooperation will cover the socio-cultural sphere, in particular the organization of projects in the field of non-formal education, the development of a culture of volunteering, mentoring, and community activities.

50 employees of PJSC «Zaporizhstal» underwent training at the Training Center «Education for Business and Career» of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University under the program «Organization of Transportation and Management in Railway Transport».

The classes were taught by leading scientific and pedagogical workers of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, headed by the head of the Department of Transport Technologies, Serhiy Turpak.

During the course, participants mastered modern approaches to organizing transportation and managing rail transport. The program lecturers shared theoretical knowledge and practical experience with the participants.

The program was an excellent opportunity for professional growth, exchange of ideas, and opening up new prospects for the development of PJSC Zaporizhstal.

From August 25 to 29, teachers of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University participated in the International Summer Forum 2025 at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FH Dortmund), Germany.

The event was attended by 140 representatives from 40 universities from 18 different countries. The program of the event combined intercultural learning, research discussion, seminars on cross-border projects and processes in the international department, trainings for teachers, as well as meetings of teams working on the implementation of international educational projects.

At the forum opening ceremony, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic was represented by Associate Professor of the Department of Software Serhiy Leoshchenko. During the research discussion, he gave a presentation on the topic «Intelligent information processing methods and tools for decision-making in the military and civilian industries».
Dean of the Faculty of Transport Oleksiy Kuzkin took part in the final meeting of participants of the DAAD project InduTwin@scale «Strategic partnership based on the twin principle». The project resulted in the participation of three applicants (Faculty of Computer Science and Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering) in the academic mobility program based on FH Dortmund in the spring semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. Six students from our university participated in the virtual academic mobility program under the InduTwin@scale Language Team Task program in the fall semester of 2024–2025.

As part of the «Market of Opportunities» event, representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, Professor of the Department of Software Halyna Tabunshchyk, Dean of the Faculty of Transport Oleksiy Kuzkin, Associate Professors of the Department of Software Anzhelika Parkhomenko, Tetyana Kolpakova and Serhiy Leoshchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks Iryna Zelenyova and Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technologies of Electronic Media Nataliia Myronova presented educational programs and areas of scientific activity of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic.

The key event was the kick-off meeting of the participants of the new project «Project and Innovation Management for Ukraine» (UA4PIM), funded by DAAD within the framework of the «German-Ukrainian University Network» program 2025–2029. Together with our university, the West Ukrainian National University (Ternopil) and the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture will participate in the project. The project coordinator, Honorary Professor of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, Director of the IDiAL Institute of FH Dortmund, Carsten Wolff, presented the project’s goals, financial planning and budget structure, and gave an overview of the project’s timeline, key stages, roles and responsibilities. The consortium participants were welcomed by the Rector of FH Dortmund, Tamara Appel, and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Research and International Relations, Stefan Weyers.

The International Summer Forum 2025 provided an opportunity to exchange experience in implementing international projects, communicate with representatives of different countries, universities and faculties, and identify new directions for the international development of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University.

On August 31, at the solemn dedication of freshmen, the rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta received the honorary award «For Merit» from the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, which was presented by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs «Potential» Oleksandr Holovko.

Thanks to his hard work and tireless commitment to the development of our university, Viktor Greshta became the first laureate of this award from the Zaporizhzhia University of Foreign Studies.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is happy to create opportunities for development, in particular, to improve the level of English language proficiency.

Thus, in the spring semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, thanks to cooperation with the Mariupol State University, access to the ReallyEnglish platform was provided as part of the English4Ukraine project.

The platform contains 30 training courses (A0–C2), which cover general, academic and professional English, business English, preparation for international exams IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL.

Both scientific and pedagogical workers and students of our university, as well as representatives of its separate structural units, joined the training.

As the participants note, the acquired knowledge and skills contributed to their personal development, helped in education, everyday work and communication with foreigners.

The ReallyEnglish platform was rated as user-friendly and offered some ideas for its improvement.

More than forty participants have successfully completed one or two courses, and almost all of them plan to continue learning English, so we look forward to continuing the project.

On August 22, the rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, Viktor Greshta, met with the head of the Kushugum settlement council of the Zaporizhzhia district of the Zaporizhzhia region, Volodymyr Sosunovsky.

The result of bilateral initiatives was the intention of further cooperation in the direction of consolidating efforts to implement joint projects in the field of achieving regional sustainability:

The Head of the Department of Machines and Foundry Technology Valerii Ivanov in July 2025, at the invitation of the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden (OTN AW), where he got acquainted with the infrastructure, educational and scientific areas of activity of our long-standing and reliable international partner. 

The four faculties of OTN AW offer a wide range of relevant educational programs in the fields of energy and ecology, engineering, business, computer science and media, healthcare, and education.

During the visit, thanks to the efforts of our employees, doctors of sciences, professors Dmytro and Kateryna Antonyuk, there was an opportunity to get acquainted with the research areas at OTN AW:
