Reporting and Election General Assembly of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization «Sports Student Union of Ukraine»
On May 22, 2023, the Reporting and Election General Assembly of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization «Sports Student Union of Ukraine» was held.
The following delivered welcoming remarks:
- Vadym Gutzeit — Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine
- Oksen Lisovyi — Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine
- Oleksiy Dniprov — Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine
- Vitalii Klitschko — Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Mayor
The meeting was also attended by the Acting President of FISU Leonts Eder and the President of the European University Athletic Association (EUSA) Adam Rochyk.
According to the results of an open vote, the rector of the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine, Yevhen Imas, was elected president of the Union for a term of 5 years. The assembly also approved the Strategy for the Development of Student Sports in Ukraine until 2028, and set a two-month deadline for preparing an action plan for its implementation. And the separate units of the Union were instructed to implement the approved development plan in the regions.
The head of the separate unit of the All-Ukrainian public organization «Sports Student Union of Ukraine» in the Zaporizhzhia region, the rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta took part in the General Assembly.
Soon we will see the results of the first measures aimed at the development of student sports in the Zaporizhzhia region.
