Report of the rector of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, Viktor Greshta

On December 23, during a conference meeting of the university’s workforce, which was joined by members of the University’s Supervisory Board and the Polytechnic students, the rector of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta presented a report on the implementation of the contract terms in 2025.

2025 for Zaporizhia Polytechnic is a year of strategic stability, scaling achievements and strengthening the role of the university as a center of science, innovation and development of the region in times of war.

During the year, the Polytechnic not only maintained its pace, but also significantly strengthened its positions. The university continued to diversify funding sources, develop science-intensive projects, and implement management solutions that ensure stability and growth prospects.

🎓 The key focuses of the year are innovation and science. Zaporizhia Polytechnic University actively developed its own innovation ecosystem: the European Digital Innovation Hub, the Energy Innovation Hub, the Science Park, and the Qualification Center were operating. The university expanded its participation in international scientific and educational programs, including Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and other European initiatives.

International cooperation in 2025 has reached a new level: more partnerships, joint projects, academic mobility, and opportunities for students and scientists. The Polytechnic is consistently integrating into the European educational and research space, while remaining a pillar for the region.

The university continues to modernize educational programs, digitalize processes, develop dual education, and cooperate with business. Career guidance work, new formats of communication with schoolchildren and colleges, events for young people — all this builds trust and interest in higher education in Zaporizhia.

🤝 In 2025, the university remained a reliable educational and humanitarian rear: support for students and teachers, volunteering, assistance to internally displaced persons, and the work of the Educational Hub for displaced teachers. The Polytechnic continues to work, teach, research, and keep the community together.
