All-Ukrainian Forum “Education of the New Ukraine 2.0”
On June 8, a large-scale all-Ukrainian forum “Education of the New Ukraine 2.0” was held in Kyiv, which brought together representatives of state authorities, heads of educational institutions, scientists, employers, experts and student self-government from all over Ukraine. NU “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” was represented at the event by the head of the student self-government, Anastasia Steshenko.
The forum program covered a wide range of topical issues of educational development and professional realization of youth. The participants joined the discussion “Why it is comfortable to study in Ukraine”, during which the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi, heads of leading universities and educational institutions discussed the modern possibilities of Ukrainian education, its competitive advantages and development prospects in today’s conditions.
During the panel “Carriers of knowledge and experience. Best teaching practices of Ukraine”, Ukrainian and international experts shared their experience, in particular astrophysicist and scientist of the University of Edinburgh Charles Cockell, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Kyiv Aviation Institute, the Kyiv School of Economics and other educational institutions. Participants spoke about modern approaches to learning, the role of a teacher in the context of digital transformations, and the need to create an environment that promotes the development of critical thinking and innovation.
Representatives of the government, business, and leading Ukrainian companies took part in the discussion “How to find a job after graduation. Shortage of vacancies and employment prospects.” The discussion focused on the current needs of the labor market, competencies that employers value today, and opportunities for young professionals to build a successful career in Ukraine.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko also took part in the forum. The youth asked her the questions that concern them the most.
Participation in the forum was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, establish new professional contacts, and learn about the best educational practices.
