Report of the rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University
On December 22, a meeting of the labor team took place, at which they heard the report of Rector Viktor Greshta on the fulfillment of the terms of the contract in 2022. 333 delegates took part in the meeting of the labor team.
The rector noted that the University’s Statute and Development Strategy for 5 years had been approved. The target indicators for 2022 have been fully met.
Positive changes are noted in all areas of activity – science, educational activity, infrastructure, partnership and cooperation, information sphere. All this became possible thanks to the dedication and hard work of the team, which, despite obstacles and difficulties, continued to work and give their strength to build a reliable foundation for the further development of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic.
During the war, it became necessary to modernize distance learning. Thanks to the coordinated work of the entire team and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, access to digital tools and digital content was obtained, including:
- Zoom for Education;
- Coursera;
- edX;
- Udemy.
Teachers and students got access to modern courses in engineering, IT technologies, electricity, welding processes, metallurgy, economic and humanitarian direction, which in turn created conditions for self-improvement and remote professional development.
Thanks to the work of the coordinator of the WORK4CE project, Professor Halyna Tabunshchik, within the framework of the development of the digital information ecosystem, an automated university management system was purchased with grant money.
To train students at the level of the highest global IT standards, the newest software was licensed.
Viktor Leonidovych summed up the results of the introductory campaign. In 2022, 5,457 students became students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, an increase of 105% compared to 2021. Due to the increase in the state order, this year they achieved stable financial growth, in addition to more than 202.54 rates, which increased the wage fund by almost 9.5 million hryvnias.
A lot of work has been done on international cooperation and integration into the world educational and scientific space. In 2022, our university was elected a full individual member of the Association of European Universities. 10 cooperation agreements with foreign universities were signed.
Work has begun on increasing the scientific level and rating of the university journal «New Materials and Technologies in Mechanical Engineering» with subsequent indexing in Scopus international bibliographic databases. Thanks to the painstaking work of the scientists of our university, the financial indicators of the university’s scientific research work have been increased.
A lot of work has also been done to attract grant funds for the renovation of student dormitories of the university.
The rector noted that much attention is paid to the volunteer front. We continue to help and are not going to stop.
A large number of employees of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic received state honors and awards of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine.
