Address by Viktor Greshta, Rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University

Almost two weeks have passed since the introduction of martial law and the start of hostilities on the territory of our country. These days have united all of us around a single goal – to stand firm and win. I want to thank the staff and students of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University for the fact that in such difficult times you, first of all, think about the needs of the university and the country.

On February 24, the operational headquarters of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University was created and every day, without breaks or days off, a group of duty officers ensures that the university is fully prepared for the challenges of wartime.

Thanks to the efforts of our service employees, we managed to equip our shelters as comfortably as possible in a short time.

Together with our cyber troops, we counteract disinformation and the spread of fakes, become blood donors, giving someone hope for life.

Our employees and students provide the needs of territorial defense and our military on a volunteer basis.

University employees work on restoring equipment, join the ranks defenders.

Our dormitories have already received families of military personnel and are ready to receive them in the future.

I am grateful to every employee and student of our university for their readiness to respond promptly, and most importantly – to help each other and all of Ukraine. I am proud of the unity and dedication of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic team!

I am confident that by consolidating efforts around a single goal – preserving and strengthening the integrity and inviolability of our Ukrainian state, we will be able to achieve peace.

Everything will be Ukraine!
