Meeting with the leadership of the Department of Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, the Department of Sports, Family and Youth of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, directors of children’s and youth sports schools and representatives of the coaching staff
On April 4, a sports week started at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. The sports elite of Zaporizhzhia visited NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic»:
- Kovpak Vladyslav – Chairman of the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of the Zaporizhzhia City Council
- Shepel Yurii – Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Department of the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine
- Gatsulya Oleksiy – Head of the Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council
- Shulga Yevhen – Director of Youth and Sports School No. 10, President of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Wushu Federation
- Strazheva Olha – Director of Youth and Sports School of the Metallurg Sports Club in Artistic Gymnastics, Olympic Champion
- Sokirko Oleksiy – Director of Youth and Sports School «Motor-Sych» in Aquatics sports
- Samolenko Volodymyr — director of the Youth Sports School of the Metallurg Sports Club for athletics
- Babiy Ivan — director of the Youth Sports School for tennis
- Kornienko Dmytro — deputy director of the Lagutin Youth Sports School for handball
- Viktorov Kyrylo — director of the Youth Sports School for basketball
- Burbella Stanislav — gymnastics coach
- Viktor Lozovoy and Yashar Nasyrov — Greco-Roman wrestling coaches
- Vyacheslav Tropin — Metallurg Sports Club
The rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University Viktor Greshta greeted those present. He noted the importance of cooperation between the university administration and directors of sports schools. He emphasized the constant support of gifted athletes and the readiness to develop Ukrainian sports. Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University is a university where you can get a quality education and continue your sports career while studying.
Deputy Head of the Department of Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the ZODA Pavlo Blank expressed gratitude to the university administration for supporting sports interest among young people and contributing to the education of sports stars of Zaporizhzhia and the country as a whole.
During the meeting, the university and the advantages of studying at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic were presented. They talked about the opportunities that open up during their studies. They mentioned sports stars – graduates of the polytechnic – Yulian Demyanov, Andriy Lunin, Kyrylo Gerashchenko, Taras Stepanenko, Akhmed Alibekov, Serhiy Kryvtso, Viktoriya Kesar, and the list goes on. Our aerobics and handball teams. We are proud of each one.
Those present were also told about the features of the 2023 admission campaign and noted that the admissions committee of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic is always open to questions from applicants. The consulting center will help at any stage of the admission campaign (registration for the National Technical University, registration for a creative competition, creating an electronic account, submitting applications for admission, etc.) from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 at Zhukovsky, 60 (7th academic building) or by calling 098 523 6789 and 099 523 6789.
