Rector’s meeting with students

Rector’s meeting with students

Students of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University met with its rector Viktor Greshta to discuss urgent issues related to the development of our university. The meeting took place on July 12 with the support of the student government and the student trade union.

The rector began the conversation with a proposal to organize more informal meetings between students and the administration, and also noted that the most important value of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic is its students, and most of the recently launched initiatives are aimed at improving the attitude of all participants in the educational process to their responsibilities.

The question-and-answer session discussed topics important to our students, including:

  • changes in university policy over the past 1.5 years, the challenges that accompanied them and the achievements they led to
  • international relations of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» and partnerships with Ukrainian companies and enterprises
  • prospects for offline learning, introduction of elective disciplines and mechanisms of dual education
  • performance of duties by university teachers and employees, algorithms of students’ actions in case of improper assessment or treatment during studies
  • psychological support of students during the war
  • improvement of the university’s material and technical base
  • development of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University
  • involvement of students in extracurricular activities

At the end, the head of the student government, Mariia Pavlenko, sincerely thanked the rector for his openness and detailed answers.

We look forward to new meetings!
