Meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with representatives of higher education institutions and business “Dual education: results and prospects for scaling up student participation in regional development”

On December 4, a meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with representatives of higher education institutions and business “Dual education: results and prospects for scaling up student participation in the development of the region” was held.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykola Trofymenko and the Deputy Head of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration Lyudmila Bukharina addressed the participants with welcoming words.

The Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University was represented at the meeting by the first vice-rector Serhiy Shylo, who presented the ideas, visions, achievements and current projects of the Polytechnic in the direction of developing dual education. He raised the problematic issues of its implementation at the moment, in particular the security aspect, higher education standards and the risk of excessive specialization for one employer.

Representatives of JSC “Ivchenko-Progress”,  NVK “Iskra”, JSC “Motor Sich”, LLC “Orihivsilmash”, LLC “Urozhay” also expressed their vision and recommendations on the development of dual education and improvement of the personnel training system. We are proud that we have been developing partnership relations with most of the participants for years!

All participants joined the discussion “Scaling dual education in the region: joint solutions”, where effective tools for the development of dual education were discussed, allowing all participants — higher education institutions, students, employers — to act in a coordinated and effective manner.
