Meeting of the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine

On April 12, a meeting of the Public Organization «Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine» was held, which was joined by the rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta – Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Zaporizhzhia Region.

The meeting was held at the National University «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy».

During the meeting, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi emphasized modern challenges, presented the vision and program for the development of education and science in Ukraine.

Olexander Novikov – Head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption reported on the settlement of the issue of double teaching and conflict of interest in higher education institutions. He also presented the possibility of participating in grant projects initiated by European partners regarding the Transparent Universities project.

Andriy Vitrenko, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, presented the initiative of the First Lady Olena Zelenska and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to introduce separate blocks and modules on mental health of individuals in wartime into educational programs.

The Chairman of the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine Petro Kulikov reported on the need to develop models for developing autonomy and competitiveness of higher education institutions, which will be implemented based on the results of joint work of the Ministry of Education and Science, heads, teams and students of higher education institutions.

We are confident that appropriate measures, developed ideas and mechanisms for interaction between representatives of the educational community will be the key to the development of human capital and the potential of our country!
