We invite female students to the online hackathon «Hack4Good: How to interest girls in technology»
The all-Ukrainian online hackathon: «Hack4Good: How to interest girls in technology» is a three-day online event for female students aged 16-24, aimed at increasing the level of girls’ knowledge about gender equality and developing team projects on the topic of encouraging schoolgirls to choose technical specialties.
The hackathon organizers: NGO «Center for Development of Corporate Social Responsibility» (Girls STEM initiative) and UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund within the framework of the project «Springboard to Equality» with financial support from the Government of Sweden and with the assistance of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
The hackathon will take place November 3-5, 2021 in an online format on the ZOOM web platform. Girls aged 16 to 24 who are students of higher education institutions and vocational schools, studying in technical specialties or students of any other specialty and are interested in technological fields and are motivated to participate can participate.
The goal of the hackathon is to develop team projects on the topic of encouraging schoolgirls to choose technical specialties, increase the level of girls’ knowledge about gender equality, and teach them design thinking. The winners will receive valuable prizes from the organizers and partners of the event.
