We continue to cooperate with schools in Zaporizhzhia and the region. This time, a master class from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University for 10th grade students of school No. 100 was conducted by Kateryna Bratkovska, associate professor of the Department of Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises, and Oleksandr Shram, head of the Department of Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises.

During the class, the students learned:

– about the possibilities of automating engineering systems of buildings and the advantages of using Smart technologies;

– about autonomous power supply of the house and electrical independence, and how to use wind generators, solar panels, and electric vehicles for this purpose.

The students saw with their own eyes remote control of external and internal lighting, the operation of security systems, and took part in a discussion of the operating modes, so-called «scenarios», of a smart house.

This master class is just one of the proposed measures for the implementation of cooperation between the university and schools within the framework of the implementation of specialized education. We continue to reveal the secrets of engineering education to schoolchildren!
