The eternally living Tarasov word: the first stage of the 13th International Language and Literary Competition of Taras Shevchenko Schoolchildren and Student Youth took place
On November 29, the 1st (intra-university) stage of the 13th International Language and Literary Competition of Taras Shevchenko Schoolchildren and Student Youth took place at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, organized and conducted by the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training.
Today, the holding of the Competition is extremely important, as it contributes to the formation of new ethical thinking and the spread of Ukrainian values.
Taras Shevchenko became one of the creators of the Ukrainian nation. For many generations of Ukrainians, the poet was and remains a true national prophet, a symbol of the high spiritual capabilities of the Ukrainian person. His legacy is «a great book of wisdom, a book of love for Ukraine.» Shevchenko’s word is immortal and powerful, understandable to many peoples, and the power of the will is nourishing and inexhaustible.
The Competition was attended by representatives of various faculties – the best experts in the Ukrainian language of our institution.
Despite the fact that this year’s stage is taking place in such difficult conditions for Ukraine, participants were able to join from all corners of the world. Later, the participants received a task, which they worked on in accordance with the requirements of the Competition, revealing the issues of the literary heritage of the Great Kobzar, the projection of his works to the present.
Based on the results of checking the students’ competition works, the jury will determine the winners who will have the opportunity to participate in the next stage of the competition.
The moderator of the first stage was Tetiana Bilenko, an associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training.
