A delegation of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic teachers is on a visit to Cardiff University
The visit program is quite eventful: it includes visits to technical laboratories and meetings with leading experts in various scientific fields.
During this week, our colleagues visited materials testing laboratories, where they spoke with Professor Sam Evans, Head of the School of Engineering, about further joint research.
Professor Carol Featherstone, Head of the research topic «Sustainable Transport and Aerospace», briefly presented the main areas of activity in the design and optimization of lightweight structures for the aerospace, automotive and civil sectors.
A meeting was held with Professor Rüdi Alleman, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs and Student Recruitment, Head of the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering. Professor Rüdi Alleman expressed his support for our university and expressed interest in long-term and productive cooperation.
The week ended with a visit to the University of Bristol, a partner of Cardiff University, where an interesting tour of the laboratories was organized. The lecturers were able to chat in a warm atmosphere with Professor Liang-Fong Wong, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Internationalization, Professor of Wireless Systems Robert Piechotski and colleagues from different cities of Ukraine who are engaged in research work at the University of Bristol.
