Media literacy training from students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic

«What the majority chooses is not necessarily high-quality and something good for us»: students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic improved their media literacy skills.

On November 20, a media literacy training «Secrets of the Information World» was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.

The speakers of the training were 4th-year students of the Economics major Kosinevska Kateryna and Journalism major Yuliia Ronshina.

The students learned about strategies for detecting fake news, learned how to identify disinformation, and discussed key aspects of developing critical thinking in the information environment.

The participants also took part in interesting interactive activities and analyzed cases fake and manipulative messages.

The training was held within the framework of the UNDP project «Promoting Human Security in Ukraine through Response to the Multidimensional Crisis Caused by War», which is implemented with the financial support of the Government of Japan.
