Students of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University are champions of the National League of the Future U-19!
On June 20, the team of the FC Metalurh (Zaporizhia) became the winner of the Ukrainian Championship “National League of the Future” U–19 (Regional League), having won the final match over “Metalist 1925” (Kharkiv).
The championship team includes students of the National University “Zaporizhia Polytechnic”:
– Denys Doroshenko (UFKS–415)
– Volodymyr Karlin (UFKS–415)
– Mykyta Tokarev (KNT–15)
It was Denys Doroshenko who opened the score in the match and put the Zaporizhia team ahead. Denis was also recognized as the best player of the final.
The main time ended with a score of 1:1, and the winner of the championship title was determined by a series of post-match penalties, in which the Metalurh players won – 5:3.
After a long and eventful season, the team raised the championship cup above its head and finished the competition as the best team of the NLM U–19 Regional League.
