Fulbright Internship for University Students and Faculty

Despite the tragic circumstances of the war, the Fulbright Academic Exchange Program confirms its presence in Ukraine and does not abandon plans related to future activities.

We are conducting a competitive recruitment for 2023-2024, extending the deadline for accepting documents until June 30, 2022 inclusive for two programs:

Fulbright Graduate Student Program: Study at American universities for one to two years to obtain a master’s degree. The competition is open to senior students and graduates of higher education institutions. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree by the time the scholarship is awarded.

Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program: Internship in teaching the Ukrainian language (assistance to American teachers) at universities/colleges in the United States for nine months. The competition is open to beginning teachers and young professionals specializing in linguistics, Ukrainian literature, translation studies, communications, journalism, American studies, and English language teaching. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree by the time the scholarship is awarded (July of the following year).

Please note that Ukrainian citizenship and residence in Ukraine at the time of the competition remains one of the important conditions of the Fulbright Program in Ukraine (see the «Requirements for Candidates» section).

However, given that many students and graduates are currently not in Ukraine, we will accept applications from candidates who continue to be in Ukraine, as well as from those citizens of Ukraine who were in Ukraine before February 24, but were forced to leave the country due to the war.
