The status of an international expert on the accreditation of educational programs
At the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year, the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education selected international experts. A survey was conducted among the experts of the National Agency regarding the specifics of their international experience. More than 2,000 respondents from various specialties took part in the survey, among which 42 candidates for international experts were selected. The meeting of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education on October 25, 2022 confirmed the status of international expert for the selected candidates and approved their list. The international experts included Olena Skuibida, associate professor of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, head of the Department of Prospective Development, Licensing, Accreditation, and Quality of Education.
The first working meeting with international experts took place on March 6. Andrii Butenko, Head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, gave a welcome speech. He emphasized the high qualification and importance of the activities of international experts, as well as outlined the main expectations of the National Agency from their work. Nataliya Stukalo, deputy head of the National Agency, spoke about the role of an international expert, the challenges and opportunities of his activity for the Ukrainian system of quality assurance of higher education. Attention was focused on the importance of the function of international experts in the processes of internationalization and integration into the common European educational and scientific space, compliance with the requirements of ESG-2015 regarding external quality assurance and achieving the strategic goals of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education.
The status of an international expert opens up the opportunity to be involved in the accreditation of educational programs in European countries, to acquire new knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as to exchange experience and best practices with foreign colleagues.
